Study Toowoomba selects up to 6 international students to be Student Ambassadors for Toowoomba each year.
Note that these Student Ambassador roles are voluntary. Study Toowoomba will cover all costs for Student Ambassadors to participate in the Program.

About the Role
Being a Study Toowoomba Student Ambassador will complement your current studies while contributing to your personal and professional development. This once-in-a-lifetime opportunity provides the chance for Student Ambassadors to:
- Build friendships with other international students studying in Toowoomba
- Participate in unique VIP experiences
- Attend events with local and international business people and delegations
- Be part of local community events and activities
- Represent their country and the Toowoomba international student community
- Be recognised for their contribution through receiving a certificate and branded shirt
What would I do as a Study Toowoomba Student Ambassador?
As a Study Toowoomba Student Ambassador you’ll get the opportunity to:
- Participate in activities organised by Study Toowoomba for the Ambassador team.
- Provide 1-2 content pieces per month (content piece to include 2-4 photos and comments/text) for use on the Study Toowoomba social media platforms.
- Create 2 blog pieces during the program for the Study Toowoomba website (300-800 words plus 1-2 photos).
- Tag Study Toowoomba in relevant Facebook and Instagram posts about your experience in Toowoomba as an international student.
Am I eligible to apply?
To be considered as a Student Ambassador you’ll need to:
- Be an international student at a CRICOS registered education institution in Toowoomba
- Be living in Toowoomba
- Be at least 18 years of age on 1 July 2026

Our Student Ambassadors are exceptional students who are passionate about studying, living, and working in Toowoomba.
By sharing their stories, experiences and involvement with Study Toowoomba, our Student Ambassadors have the opportunity to improve their personal and professional skills, while contributing to the international marketing of Toowoomba as an education destination.

Ambassador - Gazzal
Studying Nursing at UniSQ, Gazzal was drawn to Toowoomba’s peaceful, safe, community‑minded feel and now loves helping fellow international students settle in with confidence.

Ambassador - Chary Mae
Studying Certificate III in Rural Operations at TAFE Queensland, Chary Mae chose Toowoomba for its welcoming community and strong ties to agriculture, and is excited to help future students feel confident choosing Toowoomba.

Ambassador - Siti Nur "Izah"
After travelling Australia as a working holiday maker, Izah settled in Toowoomba in 2024 and is now studying Early Childhood Education and Care at TAFE, inspired to pursue her long-held dream of becoming an educator.

Ambassador - Robiatul
A PhD candidate at USQ researching sustainable materials and circular economy solutions, Robiatul values Toowoomba’s welcoming community and strong research environment for both academic and personal growth.

Ambassador - Hanz
Studying a Bachelor of Aviation (Flight Operations) at USQ, Hanz was drawn by Toowoomba’s leading aviation reputation and hopes to give other students the confidence to take the leap and study abroad.

Ambassador - Prince
A PhD candidate at USQ researching AI Governance and Digital Transformation, Prince is motivated by the chance to support international students and points newcomers to Toowoomba’s Japanese Garden as a must-see hidden gem.
