My name is Hanz, from the beautiful city of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. I am currently studying a Bachelor of Aviation (Flight Operations) at the University of Southern Queensland.
Toowoomba stood out to me because of its leading reputation in aviation education and the opportunities it provides for aspiring pilots. As a passionate aviation enthusiast and adventurer at heart, Toowoomba offers the perfect environment for both flying and exploration throughout its rolling countryside and stunning landscapes.
Being a Study Toowoomba Ambassador is especially meaningful because it empowers me to connect with international students across the globe, share my experiences, and give others the confidence to take that leap of faith and begin their own journey in Australia. I am most excited about sharing the opportunities and hidden gems that make Toowoomba such a special place to study.
To me, “Study, Work, Live in Toowoomba” means making the most of the opportunity to build your future in a city that offers quality education, valuable work experience, and a genuine sense of belonging.
I am no stranger to the challenges of studying abroad. The cost of moving to a foreign country is not only financial—you also leave behind loved ones, familiarity, and the life you once knew. I would like other international students to know that while the journey will feel daunting at times, Toowoomba is a place full of support, friendship, and opportunities to grow. No matter how uncertain you may feel, Toowoomba’s welcoming and vibrant community has a way of helping you find yourself again and create a home away from home.
