2025-2026 Student Ambassador Chary Mae from Philippines
My name is Chary Mae from the Philippines, and I am currently studying Certificate III in Rural Operations at TAFE Queensland.
I chose to study in Toowoomba because of its welcoming community, quality education, and strong connection to the agricultural industry. Growing up in a country where agriculture plays an important role, I wanted to gain practical skills and knowledge that would help me build a successful career. Toowoomba stood out as the perfect place to learn, grow, and experience a different culture while pursuing my studies.
I am honoured and excited to be a Study Toowoomba Ambassador. I look forward to connecting with people from different backgrounds, sharing my journey as an international student, and helping future students feel more confident about choosing Toowoomba as their study destination. I am also looking forward to building my own confidence, improving my communication skills, and growing through the opportunities that come with being an ambassador. I hope to represent the international student community and contribute to making others feel welcome and supported.
To me, studying, working, and living in Toowoomba means having the opportunity to grow both personally and professionally. Studying here has allowed me to develop valuable skills, working has helped me become more independent, and living in Toowoomba has given me a sense of belonging in a friendly and supportive community
