Study Toowoomba is the peak body for international education and training in Toowoomba and represents a variety of members who directly and indirectly contribute to outstanding outcomes for international students.
Study Toowoomba seeks to increase the important contribution international education and training makes to the Toowoomba community and economy by:
- Growing the international awareness of Toowoomba as a destination of choice for students from across the world
- Ensuring that the study, work and living experience offered to international students in Toowoomba tangibly benefits them during and after their studies
- Creating mutually beneficial linkages between international students and local businesses
- Increasing the capability of Toowoomba to service a greater number and diversity of international students
International education & training snapshot: Toowoomba 2022
In 2022, student enrolments in Toowoomba (on student visas) totalled 1,710. Higher Education (HE) remained the largest sub-sector, with 1,528 enrolments, followed by the Vocational Education and Training (VET), English Language Intensive Courses for Overseas Students (ELICOS), Schools and Non- Award sub-sectors.
Total international student enrolments in Toowoomba increased by 3% compared to 2021 levels. This was driven by positive year-on-year (YOY) growth in enrolments in all sub-sectors, with the exception of Schools. Download more interesting facts here;
