2024-2025 Student Ambassador from Nepal

I am currently pursuing a Master of Information systems, specialising in Business Analytics, at the University of Southern Queensland in Toowoomba. One of the main reasons I chose Toowoomba was because my elder brother and sister-in-law, they both used to live here, Knowing I would feel at home with their support, I felt it was a perfect place to start my journey as an international student. The welcoming environment of the city also made it a great fit for me, offering the opportunity to live independently while pursuing my education.

Despite working in a profession different from my academic field, I believe every experience offers valuable lessons. Communication is crucial for success in any career, and I have refined this skill through my various roles. To support my studies and accommodation, I work as an Assistant in Nursing at Lutheran Services. Completing my Certification in Aged Care and Disability has provided me with valuable experience in the healthcare sector and helps support my goal of advancing in the field of Information Systems and Data Analytics.

Outside of my study and work, I enjoy exploring Toowoomba and its surrounding areas. On my days off, I love camping, and hiking. One of the most epic experiences has been camping at Crows Nest and Cressbrook Lake, which offered stunning scenery and unforgettable adventure.

I am originally from Syangja but was born and raised in Kathmandu, the capital city of Nepal. Coming from an academically focused family, education has always been a priority. My mother, who was a primary level schoolteacher, is now a housewife, and my father is still teaching as secondary level schoolteacher in public school. My parents live in Nepal and will be visiting me this December, and I am eagerly looking forward to their visit.

I am grateful to Study Toowoomba for creating opportunities that help international students like me gain valuable exposure and thrive in a supportive environment. After graduation, I plan to pursue a career as a Business Analyst, continuing to follow my passion for technology and data-driven solutions.
