Tammy Wilson, a member of Study Toowoomba’s committee and the Director of Advancement at Toowoomba Grammar School, recently represented our region at the Global Education Expo in Hong Kong. This event provided a valuable opportunity to highlight Queensland’s strengths as a leading destination for both secondary and tertiary education.
During the expo, Tammy engaged with representatives from Trade and Investment Queensland (TIQ) and the Australian Trade and Investment Commission. Among them was Tanya Dillon from TIQ and Study Queensland, who plays a key role in promoting our state as a premier study destination.
The expo revealed a growing interest in Queensland, not just for its high academic standards, but also for its wide range of extracurricular activities. From sports to cultural programmes, Queensland schools and universities are drawing in international students eager to experience the well-rounded education that our region is renowned for.

Tammy’s involvement in the expo highlights the importance of international collaboration in education and reinforces Queensland’s commitment to providing world-class educational experiences. By building relationships with education agents and trade representatives, Toowoomba continues to strengthen our global reputation as a top choice for students seeking excellence in both academics and personal development.
