With over 16 years dedicated to the international education sector, Nabaraj Khatri has been a guide for thousands of students pursuing their academic dreams abroad. His journey began in 2008 as Managing Director of Garden International Education in Nepal, where he laid the foundation for what would become a lifelong commitment to global education.
From 2014 to 2024, Nabaraj served as Country Director of SIEC Education – a globally recognised consultancy with offices in India and Australia. During this time, he closely engaged with the promotion of top universities across Australia, New Zealand, the UK, and the USA. His strategic leadership and dedication helped expand educational opportunities for countless Nepalese students.
He also played a pivotal role within the Association of AAERI Nepal Chapter, serving from Executive Member to Secretary from 2018 to the present, advocating for best practices and ethical standards within the industry.
In 2024, Nabaraj launched a bold new chapter by founding GIEC International Education, a brand that reflects his deep experience and vision. GIEC now supports Nepalese students in pursuing studies across Australia, USA, Canada, New Zealand, the UK and Ireland.
As part of the ICEF famil tour, Nabaraj visited Toowoomba and was struck by the city’s welcoming atmosphere, vibrant educational community, and its unique blend of opportunity and calm.
My Experience in Toowoomba
My visit to Toowoomba was truly an amazing experience. I discovered that it is one of the best places for Nepalese students to pursue their studies, thanks to the presence of quality educational institutions and a warm, welcoming community.
After few days, I returned once again to explore the city further and reconnect with some of my students who are doing exceptionally well in Toowoomba. I was inspired to see that a few of them have even started their own businesses, which has further motivated me to recommend Toowoomba as a study destination for future students.
I highly encourage Nepalese students to consider Toowoomba for their education journey. The supportive environment created by both the local community and the Study Toowoomba team makes it an ideal place to grow academically and personally.
