Study

I’m study Certificate III in Rural Operations at TAFE, I’m started January this year.  I’ve been learning everything from land management and machinery operation to livestock care. One of the most exciting parts is once a week we hand on practice going to cattle and sheep farm to give medication and branding the animal and practice biosecurity in the farm. As part of my studies, we also have the chance to visit various agricultural companies. These visits are incredibly valuable, as they allow us to expand our knowledge and gain insights into the agriculture industry firsthand. It’s exciting to see different operations and learn about the innovative practices shaping the future of agriculture.

Next year, I’ll be starting my Diploma in Agribusiness Management, and I can’t wait to dive into the business side of agriculture. I believe this will give me the skills to not only run a successful farm but also to manage it more efficiently and sustainably.

Work

Currently, I am looking for opportunities to work in the agriculture industry to gain practical experience while continuing my studies. I previously worked at a poultry farm, which was a great learning experience, but I had to resign as the schedule wasn’t compatible with my study commitments. Now, I’m eager to find a role that aligns with both my passion for agriculture and my education.

Live

Choosing Toowoomba as a place to study and live has been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. Since moving here, I’ve had the opportunity to explore so many beautiful places surroundings. One of the best place I ever visit is Lake Moogerah it is 134 Km from Toowoomba.

One of the highlights of my journey in Toowoomba was when I discovered the opportunity to become a student ambassador. I applied, hoping to represent both the city and the student community, and to my excitement, I was accepted! Becoming a student ambassador has been a life-changing experience, filled with positivity and amazing opportunities to grow and connect with others.

The first memorable event I attended was Business at Dusk, a networking event that brought together business leaders and professionals. It was truly inspiring to meet so many incredible people who are making a difference in their fields. I felt privileged to be part of such an event, where I could build valuable connections and learn from experts in different industries.

Another highlight was receiving an invitation from Mayor Geoff McDonald office to attend the 75th the iconic Toowoomba Carnival of Flower. This festival is a vibrant showcase of different communities coming together to celebrate nature’s beauty through floral displays. It was breathtaking to see the creativity on display, and it made me appreciate the diversity and spirit of Toowoomba. After the festival, we visited the stunning botanic garden, a perfect place to relax and soak in the beauty of nature.

Since becoming a student ambassador, I’ve joined many activities that have made my time in Toowoomba even more rewarding. Each event has given me the chance to meet new people, explore new passions, and give back to the community. I’m really excited for all the future events and adventures ahead.

Looking back, I can honestly say that being a student ambassador has been one of the most fulfilling parts of my time in Toowoomba. It has helped me grow both personally and professionally, while also creating unforgettable memories.
