I recently had the joy of attending a vibrant multicultural event in Toowoomba — and wow, what an unforgettable day!
We began with a powerful Welcome to Country and traditional smoking ceremony. The moment felt deeply grounding, a beautiful way to honour the land and its First Nations people.
I proudly wore my traditional outfit — Batik from Indonesia. Batik is full of history, meaning, and beauty, and it felt so special to represent my culture in a space filled with so many others proudly sharing theirs.
I was also part of the Study Toowoomba stand, where I spoke with visitors about the city’s educational opportunities and friendly atmosphere. It was wonderful to share how welcoming and supportive Toowoomba is for international students.
And let’s not forget the FOOD! The event was packed with delicious dishes, each bite a little journey of its own.
So grateful to be part of this incredible community that celebrates culture, connection, and diversity.
